Circuit Zandvoort bracht eerder deze maand zelf naar buiten dat er een concreet aanbod ligt om de Grote Prijs van Nederland vanaf 2020 weer te organiseren. Prins Bernhard van Oranje, mede-eigenaar van het circuit in de duinen, riep het bedrijfsleven op de terugkeer financieel mogelijk te maken. Er is een bedrag van 20 miljoen euro nodig om de race te mogen organiseren.

Eigenaar Liberty Media deed er toen het zwijgen toe, maar in een interview met Reuters ging Bratches wel in op de serieuze interesse voor Zandvoort.
